Overview
I·Am (“we”, “the app”) is a personal growth application. This policy explains what data we process and how we protect your privacy.
Data we collect
On-device content — daily Being, Be–Do–Have entries, and dialogue messages are stored locally on your iPhone/iPad by default unless you change settings.
BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) — if you enable AI features, your API key and endpoint URL are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device. We do not receive or store your keys on our servers.
Subscriptions — purchases are processed by Apple. We may use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase identifiers as described in their privacy policy.
Diagnostics — we do not knowingly collect dialogue text for analytics or advertising.
What we do not do
We do not sell your dialogue or journal content.
We do not use your conversations to train third-party AI models on our servers (BYOK calls go directly from your device to your chosen provider).
Third-party services
Apple — App Store, subscriptions, and device services.
RevenueCat — subscription management (if enabled in your build).
Your AI provider — only when you configure BYOK (e.g. OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, or a custom endpoint).
Crisis resources — the app may open external help links (e.g. findahelpline.com) in your browser; those sites have their own policies.
Your choices
Turn off “save dialogue on device” in Settings to keep sessions ephemeral.
Remove BYOK keys anytime in Settings.
Delete the app to remove local data stored in the app sandbox.
Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
